Java Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The customer develops and operates one of the largest retail websites in the world. We are now looking for a brilliant web developer who will join the development and maintenance organization for their website. The development is centralized to Sweden, and we work with the site for all 50+of the company?s countries. The assignment is full time and based at our clients IT-department in Stockholm.

The Java developer we are looking for , should have several years of experience of working with, and maintain large web applications and ecommerce solutions.
You are a passionate java developer who can?t resist sharing your latest findings with your team. You constantly strive for learning new skills and improving existing ones. You are very confident in Java and Spring, and enjoy solving problems together with your team.
Additionally you have practical experience from working in an agile environment.

You will join one of our clients implementation teams, which consist of a System Responsible, Scrum master, developers, testers and a requirement analyst.
You should have experience deploying java/tomcat middleware and helping in automating it.

? Estimation and planning in collaboration with requirement analyst and test
? Problem solving in a complex environment
? Implement solutions
? Maintaining a site in production
? Collaborate with other teams

REQUIREMENTS.

Specific Competence

? Working as a developer in large web/ecommerce systems.
? Advanced Java development and multi-threaded applications
? Spring Framework (Min 2.0)
? Web technology: Servlet, HTTP, Cookies, TCP, Frameworks.
? Integration development using WebServices (SOAP/WSDL/XSD)
? Integration development using JMS
? Build scripts using Ant and Maven.
? Middleware solutions like Coherence and Tomcat

Alternative Competence
? JVMs and advanced JVM-tuning
? Interest in monitoring and APM solutions
? Analyzing the performance and metrics output of an large scale application
? Load testing
? Hybris
? Selenium
? Sonar
? EAI or SOA
? Search indexing, e.g. Endeca, SOLR, Lucene.
? Database design and development on Oracle and MySQL.
? Experience from working in distributed teams, preferably with Indian teams
