Java Software Developer

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Java Software Developer to Cepheid, a growing Diagnostics company located in Solna, Stockholm.


At Cepheid, Software Engineering and Software Quality work in cross-functional agile scrum teams developing and testing cloud services for disease surveillance and systems administration in the diagnostics area.


As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, develop, test and manage Cepheid’s C360 connected platform. Cepheid C360 is a cloud based software platform providing administrative and analytics support for Cepheid’s GeneXpert product family.


It is important that you appreciate a fast-paced environment and that you have strong interpersonal and communicative skills to succeed in this role.


Job responsibilities include:


Responsible for design, development, maintenance and deployment of the product.
Responsibility includes interacting with cross-functional stakeholders from SQA, Marketing, Service
and support organisations, and project/program managers during the development and delivery of
the product.
Provides software documentation including, but not limited to, software requirement specifications,
functional specifications and design specifications.
Perform duties as an individual contributor and/or team member with 100% hands-on work.



Knowledge and skills:
A minimum of 4 years of working experience with Java, Spring
Experience with REST, JSON
Full-Stack; Ability to work across all layers of the application, from back-end database through to
the UI
Cloud development and deployment experience from AWS is meriting
Comfortable in using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Experience with databases, SQL/MySQL
Experience in Cyber security
Experience with Git, Linux (command line)
Experience with Ruby on Rails is meriting
CI/CD, Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, Chef, Kubernetes is meriting
Demonstrated knowledge of automated testing (e.g. JUnit) and experience with test driven
development
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, curious, accountable and flexible
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience or Master’s degree in field with 4+ years of related work experience.
