As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategies that optimize costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories. You will ensure that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements, and will lead the development of new solutions for complex projects/challenges.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, plan, and implement Procurement & Logistics strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories.
* Ensure execution in accordance with Company, PL, and Supply Base Management instructions and procedures.
* Implement effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy using the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process.
* Ensure that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
* Ensure all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly.
* Lead development of new solutions for complex projects/challenges.
* Coach and impart knowledge to other professionals.
Requirements:
* An academic degree in a relevant field: Engineering, Business & Administration, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience.
* 2-3 years of work experience in procurement/supply chain.
* Genuinely interested in technical components and systems.
* Unpretentious for the job, as it requires doing everything from strategies work to material follow-up to working with your material in our ERP system.
* A team player with strong communicative and collaborative skills who likes to interact with other people.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus.
* Experience with SCM tools, transportation and logistics, project management, legal aspects, and finance in SCM.
* Remote work is possible in dialogue with the manager.
