Jefferson Wells is looking for an AML-Officer!

Jefferson Wells is now looking for an AML-Officer to our client in Stockholm. You will work with the business and other key stakeholders to identify and mitigate the risks associated with existing and new business with emphasis on higher risk customers. This is a consulting assignment and we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Location: Stockholm
Start: ASAP, mars
Assignment: Consultant assignment for 14 months



Key responsibilities:

* Act as Primary Anti Money Laundering contact for Sweden;
* Assess the impact of key regulatory developments, sanctions and industry best practice on current procedures, ensuring that any necessary changes are properly implemented within the Business
* Work with the Business and other key stakeholders to identify and mitigate the risks associated with existing and new business with emphasis on higher risk customers
* Provide expert advice to the business on legal or regulatory requirements
* Review and approve high risk customer KYC/due diligence and perform enhanced due diligence on targeted customers
* Undertake AML related investigations arising from internal monitoring as well as ad hoc referrals
* Report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities in a timely manner
* Assist in liaising with local Regulators, Law Enforcement in connection with suspicious activity filing and/ or other regulatory requirements
* Conduct Controls and Checks as appropriate (MCA, etc.)



You will also assist in identifying applicable sanctions laws and provide advice in relation to those and monitor the sanctions screening processes and advise on possible matches. Further you will attend BRCC, attend other governance meetings if so required. You will also act as contact point for training team in London.
