Job as Scientific Librarian to Cytiva in Uppsala

The Scientific Librarian will manage, organize and execute platform level support for literature and scientific searches. You will maximize tools to build an organizational information framework thus enabling the search results to be efficiently and readily accessed by internal associates.

You will be hired by Experis but work at Cytiva in Uppsala. This is an assignement starting in december 1st or january 1st lasting for 12 months initially. Due to the current situation, the role would be remote for at least the first 4-6 months, as we minimize the physical presence in on site.

As a member of the Cytiva Innovations team, this role reports to the VP, Innovation responsible for providing scientific input into Cytiva research, product development and strategy

In this role, there will be opportunities to:

* Perform literature searches in collaboration with requestor, who reviews search results and assigns literature synthesis tasks to be completed
* Ensures the efficient, effective, customer-oriented delivery of information services to Cytiva associates. Maintains a current knowledge of Library operations, standard methodologies and guidelines. Demonstrates and models excellent internal and external customer service.
* Promotes information services within the organization and establishes effective communication with groups, organizations, and individuals.
* Actively manages the subscriptions with publishers and other information services providers ensuring the most effective and efficient solutions for the company.
* Design and create a framework for the archiving of results and synthesis.
* Develop training documents and "How To" videos

About you

You have specialized search skills including command line search techniques, big data trend analysis and patent search capabilities. It is important to have knowledge of professional library principles, theories, concepts, policies, and procedures. The ability to manage access to databases and other e-resources. We are looking for you who have experience using Innography, Scopus, PubMed, Resolute.AI or other tool. The enjoy this role you need to be skillful in project coordination, time management and problem solving. Finally you have a BS or MS degree in medical, physical or biological sciences. With a Bachelor's degree you also need 5+ years' experience in this field. With a Master's degree you also need 3+ years' experience performing scientific literature searches.
