Our Head Office for Europe is located in Vilvoorde, Belgium with a satellite office in Skellefteå, Sweden. To further strengthen our R&D Security team for the Banking, Financial and Retail Industry, primarily around protection of their ATM Machines and cash handling activities, we are looking for a passionate Test Engineer.
Function
As a Test Engineer you will assume all responsibilities in the field of testing new Cennox products or improvements on existing products. The Test Engineer will also be responsible to set up all necessary test plans and tools in order to be able to automate as much as possible the testing processes.
You will cover all tests on mechanical, electronical, firmware, software or other products.
You will assure that all regression testing is completed before releasing a product or a modification to the production. Your main tasks will include:
Innovate modern and futuristic tools line-up in the field of testing electronics, mechanics, firmware, software, web portals and individual components
Assist in planning the testing for the roadmap for release of new products
Design and develop intelligent test protocols and automated tools to adhere to the global quality standards of electronic security systems
Execute test scripts and report on the findings
Track results in a software system with all relevant information for colleague engineers to debug
Do all regression testing on new versions of a product to assure there’s no decrease in quality, performance and functionality
Collaborate with suppliers and / or customers to test the new product with a 3rd party solution
Attend customer/3rd party meetings (Internationally) for supporting sales department or to install and test prototype or pilot products
Follow-up internal and external tests and report on the results using templates and tools
Manage ECN’s and update all relevant documentation accordingly
Support internal teams and external parties in debugging issues and provide feedback to R&D team on improvements of products
Perform “First sample” checks to verify if supplied first samples of a new product is fulfilling the internal requirements
Release new products or new versions to production and update databases with new releases
Profile
You have a degree in (Electro-)mechanics/firmware/software and are familiar with testing protocols. You have a wide knowledge across the different domains (Electronics / Electro-mechanics / Mechanics / Software) and the right mind set to try to find issues with the products under test. The role requires a structured, detailed and curious approach to assure that all testing goals are met. It also requires good assertiveness to report the issues back to the design engineers. Documenting all the tests and results is also a big part of the role and should be handled accordingly. Knowledge of project management is a plus. You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French and/or Swedish and/or German is a plus. You can perform your job both independently and in a team. Business travel (also international) is possible.
