Hitachi ABB Power Grids are looking for people with your skillset in order to strengthen the Control and Protection team at HVDC in Sweden.
At Control and Protection at HVDC we are doing something unique in the power industry. We design and integrate the control and protection system, the brain of the HVDC converter. It interconnects all the equipment and subsystems of the converter station with the state-of-the-art control system and ensures safe and reliable operation.
The control and protection team have a friendly, diverse, and multidisciplinary environment. This is a team that you can flourish in and where you are given responsibility as well as large degree of freedom to decide the path of the design and implementation.

Your responsibilities
You will be a part of the team that is responsible for the Control & Protection (C&P) solution in an HVDC delivery project
Take a leading role in designing and integrating the control and protection software, hardware, Cyber Security, or other IT systems for the HVDC projects from start to commissioning
Work in an international environment with world leading experts in the field of HVDC
Interact with customers and get a chance to travel the world commissioning HVDC systems
Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues, sharing best practice across different projects and disciplines
Your background
You have genuine technical interest and are always open to develop your skills within other fields
A Bachelors or master’s degree in engineering
Work experience from similar industries and/or within projects is preferable
It is also an advantage if you have worked with commissioning of control and protection systems or if you have experience with control and protection system of HVDC projects
You are a dynamic and social person who enjoys working with people from various business areas and parts of world
As you will be part of a company that operates on a global arena, proficiency in English is required
