Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.In the Scania transformation, the service area is of high strategic importance as a key part of fulfilling our promise of a premium experience to our customers. And our area of services is growing fast. This includes our digital service offering utilising data-driven insights from our vehicles and putting them to good use in the hands of our customers, as well as our workshop-based services with solutions for repair and maintenance.
The position
In this role, you will bring together various business perspectives to ensure that our digital services at Scania stay premium. You will work closely with product owners, product managers, and other stakeholders at S&M to develop our offerings and act as the voice of the service perspective in discussions with R&D. In these collaborations you will also be part of shaping the future way of working and contributing to our capabilities as a solution provider.
Your responsibilities include leading investigations of service opportunities that fall outside of existing value streams, understanding the competing solutions on the market, and frequently serving as the interface between product and service development. Ultimately we seek a shared view of the customer needs, solutions and priorities across the organization.
Additionally, you will review and funnel development ideas from the commercial organization to the appropriate development teams, and actively participate in developing our service roadmap.
Our product planning team will be expanded by this new position which creates an exciting opportunity to join, and also means that there is great room for you to have an influence on the role and tailor it in order to work better and more efficiently towards our business goals.

As a Product Planner within Services, you would be part of a team of 7 colleagues who cover the areas Product Planning, Service portfolio management, Lean-agile process development, Commercial IT portfolio management and Telecom. We are very much defined by our lean-agile setup where we collaborate, learn and progress iteratively in short cycles.
You will build upon your skillset in both business and technology areas related to the role. With multiple interfaces across Scania, you’ll have the opportunity to build a strong network within the company, across departments and hierarchies.

Who are you?
We believe that you have a genuine interest in the business aspects and have previous experience working with service development, product development, product planning or from other commercially oriented roles. You have a relevant university degree or equivalent work experience, for example within engineering or business. If you are familiar with agile methodology and have applied it in your work – even better! English will be your everyday language at work, while fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
As a person, you are a genuine and ambitious team player who thrives in collaborating with others and who is both willing and able to understand other persons’ perspectives. To succeed in this role, you enjoy a high paced environment with several moving parts that you help others make sense of. You are a clear communicator verbally as well as proficient in producing and delivering presentations to various stakeholders. You are furthermore comfortable speaking with stakeholders at all levels and are able to agree on a viable way forward, also when your viewpoints differ. Prestigeless and down to earth, you take responsibility for the task at hand and structure your time and deliveries efficiently in a reliable manner.
