Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The service area is of strategic importance for Scania as it is a key part of fulfilling our promise of a premium experience to our customers. This includes our workshop-based services with repair and maintenance as well as our digital service offering utilising vehicle data and putting it to good use in the hands of our customers. In this role, you will work together with product owners and product managers to develop our offering to ensure we stay relevant and premium in the future. As a Product Planner within Services you would be part of the Sales & Marketing organisation and the department Service Portfolio and Delivery.
The position
In this position you would work with service development from several different perspectives. You would:
• Represent the service perspective in product development projects, making sure that our vehicles enable a strong service offering
• Be the interface between product and service development
• Be part of the cross-functional “Connectivity Bucket”, proposing how to allocate the development budget
• Develop and maintain our tactical service roadmap in close collaboration with service development teams and other stakeholders
• Develop and maintain our service development process
• Prepare for major decision forums by reviewing material and align the service perspective ahead of the meeting
• Review and funnel development ideas from our commercial organisation to the right Product Manager and development team.
• Be part of developing our future way of working as we continue to strengthen our capabilities as a solution provider
You would work in close cooperation with various roles within service development, product development and Sales & Marketing, leveraging on the collective knowledge from a holistic customer and Scania perspective. In addition, you would also have interfaces with Traton to prepare for any common development efforts in the group context.
Who are you?
We believe that you have previous experience from working with product planning, service development or product development. You have a relevant university degree or equivalent work experience, for example within engineering or business. If you are familiar with agile methodology and has applied it in your work – even better! English will be your everyday language at work, while fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
As a person, you are a genuine team player who thrives cooperating with others and who are both willing and able to understand the other persons’ perspectives. To succeed in this role, you enjoy a high paced environment with several moving parts that you help others make sense of. You are a clear communicator verbally as well as proficient in producing and delivering presentations to various stakeholders. Prestigeless and down to earth, you independently take on the task at hand and structure your time and deliveries efficiently in a reliable manner.
