What’s in it for you?
Within Manufacturing we have a team that develops the future manufacturing processes for our future EV cars. Our purpose is to develop and secure the best available techniques, develop the new manufacturing processes, develop standards and work in close collaboration with our colleagues at R&D. Manufacturability analysis of joining methods, participation in research projects is a major part of our daily work. In some cases, we also set up learning sessions. We work closely together with all our customers, such as R&D, manufacturing shops worldwide and procurement.
You will be a part of a highly skilled team with many different competencies. We have a great team spirit, where everyone is included and dedicated to securing our product and we work with an excellent quality and support.
The work location for the position is in Gothenburg.
What you´ll do
You will be responsible for Joining verification during development phase and physical verification in pre-series. Work closely with R&D designers, manufacturing engineers, equipment specialists to create the best product securing manufacturing attributes. You will be summarizing and reporting status for joinability in car programs. Further, you will:
* Support and assist implementation of running changes in all quality and process related joining topics and issues.
* Plan and secure that needed joining tests are performed and parameters are documented as well as securing stock of required material.
* Maintaining and develop databases with joining information (material combinations, parameters etc)
* Continuously develop ways of working with suppliers as well as participate in research projects with academic partners.
* Participate in needed internal networks with equipment experts, production, Pilot plant and R&D.
Do you fit the profile?
BS in mechanical engineering is preferred, it is a plus if you have IWE/IWT education (International Welding Eng/Tech). Experience in automotive industry is highly preferred.
We think you have 5+ years’ experience with welding joining equipment and processes. Preferred is also experience from other joining methods such as: flow drill screw, clinching and adhesive bonding.
As a person you have good overall people management skills. Solid communication skills, both verbal and written. We believe you have strong verbal & written communication skills to support technology documentation and training requirements. In addition, ability to create & execute a well-organized validation project where standardized work is not available.
