As our Joining expert you will play an important part in the development of Platform and Tophats. You will join a team that is dedicated to design, innovation and technology. With members that are, just like you, proud of their professionalism, motivation and level of skills. The daily work will involve a lot of discussions within your network and we work closely together with R&D Body & Exterior. As our Joining expert, you will be based in Lindholmen, Gothenburg.

This is the Joining Expert role:

- Secure joining feasibility in new projects.
- Develop procedures and applications of welding equipment.
- Participate in research projects with external research partners.
- Coordinate experimental welding tasks to evaluate new equipment, techniques and materials.
- Perform Spotweld Process simulations using Sorpas.
- The role consists also of product feasibility lead in defined areas.


Required background and skills:

- Degree in Welding Engineering, or equivalent education
- Knowledge of automotive joining processes
- Experience in evaluating and introducing new production techniques
- Practical and theoretical experience in one or several of the following joining techniques: - Resistance Spot Welding
- Laser welding/brazing
- Mechanical joining, e.g. Self pierce riveting
- Arc welding of thin sheet structures
- Projection welding
- Stud welding





Desirable additional skills:

- Degree in Metallurgy, or equivalent education.
- Knowledge in plastic/ composite materials.
