We are looking for a Jointer Manager in Karlskrona
Are you our next Jointer Manager? We are growing and will onboard another colleague to the team.
Ensure capacity and capability of resources
The department´s mission is to provide resources/jointers to HV cable installation projects, both offshore and onshore across mostly Europe. You need to ensure the right capacity and capability of the resources in the light of projects, service jobs and warranty cases. Together with your peer managers (2 in Sweden, 1 in DK, 2 in DE) you will hire jointers, facilitate training by HV training specialists, take staffing decisions on a daily basis and review performance of jointers based on feedback from project & site managers. You will make sure the jointers have the right certificates in place and act according to NKT´s high safety standards. The department consists of ~100 colleague’s and spans across 2 countries, i.e., you will work within an international team.
On a daily business this is what the role includes:
* Disciplinary responsibility of 20-28 jointers/site resources
* Facilitating technical, HSE & personal skills development of jointers
* Ensuring proper certification according to legal & client requirements
* Staffing of jointers to site
* S&OP planning of jointing resources
* Expanding partnership network
* Managing performance of jointers
* Keeping up and improving safety standards
* Continuous improvement work/projects for Service BL & Resource Department
Organized and flexible
You will be expected to plan, organize, and prioritize the projects – often affected by delays and changes – and your flexibility and ability to work in a highly varied and quickly changeable environment is crucial in this role.
Moreover, you are a driven, persistent and result oriented person, who provides excellent team leadership. You coach and motivate your team, encouraging them to continually develop their skills, and you enjoy collaborating and sharing experiences with colleagues.
Having the right personality is extremely important to succeed in this role. Your technical background and profound technical interest come from either your university degree, or many years of work experience. Naturally, experience from cable jointing will be in your favor.
You must be prepared to travel for approximately 30 days a year, though for larger projects the manager will be on-site for parts of the project. Proficiency in Swedish and English is required, as are strong written and spoken communication skills. Any Eastern or Southern European language, as well as Danish, will be to your advantage.
Additionally, your CV includes:
* Experience in project management preferably in the energy sector (building power substations, power plants) or construction sector
* Alternative: Consulting background combined with technical education and track record in industry, construction or energy sector
* Strong people skills and ability to handle broad range of personalities
* Strong stakeholder management capabilities
* Ability to work in a multi-stakeholder and often ambiguous field
