General Presentation
MSF Sweden was founded in 1993. As a partner in the international MSF movement, MSF Sweden exists to assist populations in danger by recruiting medical and non-medical volunteers, by raising funds and by raising awareness and pressuring for change through the act of temoignage, or advocacy.
From 1993 onward, as MSF has established itself in Swedish society as one of the foremost humanitarian organisations (accentuated by MSF receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999), Swedish media has become well aware of MSF's global presence, work and capacity. Media frequently contacts us for information, interviews with volunteers and other spokespersons
as well as seeks our opinion on humanitarian issues.
