Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
With the overall mission to make it easy to buy tailor-made solutions from Scania and being part of central Sales & Marketing, the function Business Transformation & Digitalisation is responsible for the Scania sales eco-system from a content, process as well as IT applications perspective.
With clear targets and an agile mindset, we develop and maintain user-centric flows and applications that touch on every aspect of the sales process, from prospecting to product and service configuration as well as quotation and ordering. The applications support our Business Units globally. Additionally, we are tasked with exploiting digitalisation to challenge the way we offer solutions to our customers.
We have split our work in four main journeys – customer, pre-sales, sales & order-to-delivery – these journeys both representing the main user groups as well as main flows from a process perspective.
The position
With the Scania vision to lead the shift towards sustainable transport systems as guiding star, a key for Scania success historically and in the future is the modular system and how it creates possibilities to tailor optimised customer solutions in a profitable way. As journey lead you will have a key role in leading a cross-functional pre-sales journey team with developing the process as well as core applications, defining main gaps with and together with Sales & Marketing business areas setting priority for needed development.
Pre-sales is creating pre-requisites for Scania sales globally and while keeping the close correlation between the two processes in mind we strive to create as much autonomy as possibility for the journeys. The pre-sales journey team consist of representatives with areas of expertise ranging from technical product information, product and services configuration and implementation to software application product owners and developers. You lead this team’s work, mainly by defining areas of improvement but also securing progress. In addition you will coordinate and lead meetings in the pre-journey management team in which all responsible resource managers are present.
Main duties
• Challenge and improve our way of working within pre-sales journey
• Take lead in defining and establishing vision and strategy for pre-sales journey
• Take lead in establishing way of working within pre-sales journey - supported by journey team members and management team
• Act as representative for complete journey towards user groups and stakeholders – pre-sales and sales functions
• Define gaps and how to adjust main system interface(s) - Lead journey team in filling gaps
• Plan and synchronise Sales & Marketing business areas in setting prioritisation
• Sync and align prio with journey leads in Sales, e-mobility and Customer journeys

Your profile
• Master’s degree or equivalent
• ‘Can-do’ mindset
• Strong communicator and inspirational leader
• Fluent in English
• Proven experience and ability to build and develop lasting relationships and results
• Ability to communicate with senior leaders as well as developers
• Understanding and experience of large global organisations
• Structured and well organized way of working
• Experience of complex products and services
