ARKET’s mission is to democratise quality through widely accessible, well-made, durable products, designed to be used and loved for a long time. The team includes designers, chefs, architects, buyers, writers and many others – approximately 160 are working in the Stockholm office in Södermalm – sharing their expertise and experience and working towards a common goal. There are also satellite production teams in countries around the globe working closely with ARKET’s suppliers.
Job Description
As Junior Buyer, you will join a highly skilled and experienced team of designers, pattern makers and buyers. This tight team is dedicated to creating men’s Trousers, Blazers and Knit of high quality and to always keep sustainability at the core of their work. You will actively support a Senior Buyer with daily tasks such as communication with our production offices, assortment planning, sample handling, placement and monitoring of orders, quantification of orders. You take an active role in doing sales analysis, taking actions and follow-up. Organizing fitting sessions will also be one of your responsibilities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have a strong business sense, customer focus and passion for fashion. As a Junior Buyer you will follow and analysing current trends as well as sales figures, so great analytical skills are key. You are passionate about developing the best product and have a basic knowledge of materials. We value strong multitasking capabilities and a will to take action and ownership.
As Jr Buyer at ARKET you work in an environment where not every process and structure are set and flexibility, problem solving and a prestige less mindset will be important abilities to reach success. You will need to be organised, manage your time and keep focus on what creates value even when there is a lot to do. We believe that the best results are created together with your team, and we look for a team-oriented person that wants to grow into the role as well as the brand.
We prefer a minimum of one-year experience as a junior buyer or buyer assistant.
