Job description
We are currently looking for several new team members within three different areas for our client ECDC in Stockholm. You will work as a Junior Scientific Expert at the Public Health Functions unit, managed by the Head of the Surveillance Section, which has been created to support the current COVID-19 outbreak activities of ECDC.

Responsibilities
For these positions we are looking for candidates with experience in any of the three following areas:

• Infection Prevention and control – clinical management and hospital 
preparedness:
Experience or knowledge about infection control and prevention, clinical management and diagnostics. Experience in long-term care facilities.

• Risk Communication:
Experience in translating scientific evidence into clearly understandable messages used for information to the public and policy makers.

• Emergency Preparedness and Response Support: 
Support to ECDC experts in the area of preparedness and response. After action reviews, support to EU member states asking for assistance and ECDC experts in the field.



Working hours
The assignment will start as soon as possible with an initial length of 5 months. Due to the special circumstances of covid-19 a lot of the work will be performed from your home.

Qualifications
Apart from above profile description, these specific skills are required for the current assignment:
•       Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken;
•       Quick learner and stress resilient
•       Able to work without tight supervision.
