Arbetsbeskrivning
We are looking for a Junior Financial Accountant Nordics to an international company based north of Stockholm.
Financial Accounting for Nordics
- In accordance with company policies, Statutory, Legal and Corporate compliance and governance requirements
- Independent preparation of entries / reports / schedules needed for accurate financial records
- Maintenance of an effective internal control framework around assigned responsibilities, closing and financial reporting activities
- Coordinating the monthly and quarterly close processes in partnership with SSC
- Preparation of documentation for financial, SOX, and tax audits
Payroll (outsourced)
- Process and maintain payroll files as received from the payroll service providers, respond to inquiries, research and resolve payroll issues and discrepancies as they occur
- Reconciliation of Payroll related accounts
Records & Information Management (RIM) Coordinator
- Coordinate the archive process, ensuring that records are stored in accordance with Corporate policy
- Assist the finance department in the application and implementation of record management policies, procedures and techniques, including filing systems, indexing, etc
Other Responsibilities include:
- VAT submissions to the authorities; Initiation of VAT payments
- Inventory accounting
- Project management ? onboarding and implementation of new processes
- Additional duties as assigned to assist the Finance Manager and other team members
Education & Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or related area; MBA or equivalent financial qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA) desirable
- 2-3 years of operational (P&L) finance experience in a commercial environment
- Experience with Payroll accounting for a large, multi-currency business
Experience, skills and competencies
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of financial and management accounting (preferably with SOX knowledge), international organizations, processes and systems
- User experience with SAP
- Must be intermediate or expert level Excel user
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Strong business acumen and multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Must be able to meet strict tight deadlines on a regular basis and simultaneously handle multiple work priorities
- Must have good people skills, effectively work with diverse groups and be able to work across boundaries ? organizational, geographical, functional, etc. to solve problems and achieve results
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Fluent in Swedish, both verbal and written
This is a temporary assignment for 6-12 months.
