We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

What we offer
In our journey towards a sustainable future a new focus area was discovered, thermal efficiency. We strive towards energy efficient cars with maximum range and are one of the attribute teams at sustainability centre.
At Thermal Efficiency you will be part of an agile team working with all vehicle programs and development phases.
What you’ll do
As a part of the Thermal Efficiency team you will take part in developing our new focus area, finding new methods and ways of working to minimize thermal losses and unnecessary usage of energy. You will run simulations in 3D and 1D as well as verifying your results through physical testing in the wind tunnels.
After analysing your test results, you will share your findings with other ART´s and departments through presentations at analysis meetings, that you will be leading. You will also use your test results to create new requirements to help Volvo Cars become leading in energy efficiency and communicate these requirements to relevant areas and support them in the implementation.
You and your skills
You have a University degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience.
You have a genuine car interest, experience from performing physical testing and experience from CAE.
You are familiar with CFD and running 3D and 1D simulations.
Experience from STARCCM+, GT-Suite, performed tests in a wind tunnel and experience from thermodynamics is valuable.
Your English is fluent (written and spoken).
You like to collaborate and explore new solutions. Competence and experience are important, but personality is key! We are looking for a team player with a positive mindset and a personal drive. You need to be passionate and engaged, inspiring people around you and have great communication skills.
