Analytics is about connecting people to data. In Schibsted Analytical Foundations, we want to do exactly that.Our vision is to “Enable all the people in Schibsted to leverage any data in Schibsted” and we will head towards that vision by removing frictions between data and people throughout Schibsted. We already have great Insights and Analytics teams spread out throughout Brands and Functions. Key to moving towards our vision will be to connect, facilitate and assist these analytical practitioners while leveraging their collective knowledge of the business to create alignment and synergies to benefit all. To be the glue that ties together our analytical practitioners, stakeholders and the different Schibsted Analytics teams we are looking for people and process oriented data enthusiasts to take on the role as Junior Analytical Project Manager.

This role will be instrumental in discovering, defining and executing on initiatives that will remove frictions from analytical efforts throughout Schibsted and all its Brands. You will bring together analysts, business users, data scientists and engineers across the organisation to collaboratively solve common challenges and needs. You will map out and close gaps in the analytical abilities, related business processes and available tooling.

Things you will do

Discover and describe gaps in our analytical offering

Map analytical proficiency across the organisation, set goals and facilitate academic forums to close these gaps

Proactive continuous improvement of our internal processes, data models and processes through discovery and documentation

Continuously ensure traction and delivery on our offering of analytical tooling & services supporting a wide range of analytical capabilities

Self Initiate and run projects, guilds or other type of informal groups to discover and promote analytical best practices and synergies


Who you are

An analyst that likes Technical project management or a project manager that like analysis

Could see yourself evolving along a Data Governance/Data Management career path

You are a Self Starter and come with a Startup mindset.

Obsessively collaborative and empathetic to other people’s approach to analysis

Detail oriented and structured beyond the usual job ad bullet point

Excellent communicator that bring a positive vibe even to contentious discussions

Pragmatic, agile and decision capable with high multithreading capacity

Experienced with or capable to learn Analytical tooling administration and design

Knowledge of SQL and some experience in Virtualisation tool (eg: Tableau) will be an advantage.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Conversational Norwegian or Swedish is a plus

Some sort of relevant higher education

We are about 250+ people in Oslo, Stockholm and Krakow, and collaborate closely with other product and tech teams in all units in Schibsted. Areas of responsibilities include data & technology strategy, privacy/data trends/responsible data & machine learning, information security and internal IT.
