Role Description
As part of the digital transformation journey, Electrolux is entering into the digital API economy, where APIs will increasingly play a more and more important role to reach our customers/consumers.
APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) are the gateways used to expose business data and functions to external partners or external applications (mobile or others).
As organization, Electrolux needs to build API management capabilities in order to manage and govern the API landscape.
APIs are developed and used by different functional teams that are responsible for their development and support, always following the standards and best practices defined by the API governance team.
The API platform is a key element in order to ensure the APIs are secured, scalable and governed in a sustainable way. The European API platforms of choice are Azure APIM and IBM API Connect in the cloud.
As a junior API platform specialist you will be supporting the API platform.
In this role you will:
1. Support Azure APIM and API Connect as the main European API management platforms
2. Follow the API standards, best practices and guidelines defined by the API governance team and implement them on the API platform
3. Ensure all APIs deployed in production follow the API governance team guidelines
4. Support, coordinate and communicate with other Electrolux teams responsible for the API development
Main Activities & Tasks
The Junior API platform specialist role will ensure standards and best practices are enforced thru the API Management platforms
Connect landscape by proper tool configuration, administrative support and regular reports. Coordination with the API developers and API product managers will also be part of your daily work.
What you’ll be doing:
· Configuration, deployments - and customization tasks
· Continuous system improvements
· Project Involvements
· You will be eventually acting as 2nd and 3rd level support on API Management platforms
· Support system maintenance and upgrades
· Check that an adequate level of documentation is provided, and that this documentation is stored in the appropriate repository to ensure access by support and development staff
