Ericsson Silicon - Design Engineer – SerdesPHY
Do you want to be a part of the team working with new industry leading SerdesPhy. The team is right now working on a clean sheet design, architecting, and designing Ericsson Silicon new SerdesPhy IP.
You will be joining a hardworking team responsible for the System Architecture, Design and Verification of our new SerdesPhy IP, going into our new Silicon line up. You will be helping our teams Bring-Up SerDes into our new Silicon Line up and see how your design takes shape in our future products.
The Team is part of the Ericsson Silicon department, which develops state of the art ASIC's and FPGA's in the newest technology nodes for Ericsson's 5G product portfolio. The department offers many opportunities for career growth and a large base of knowledge to learn from.
To be successful in this role we see that you have a background within Serdes and a big interest in design and are working with the latest design techniques optimizing and crafting your code both for speed, area, and power.
We see that you are passionate about solving new technical problems and have a big interest in learning new skills and always improve yourself.
A big part of the role is to work with Ericsson Silicon global vendors. You will create productive technical collaboration environments, handle design and verification requirements and verify that the design meets the required specification in time with the right quality.
This is a unique opportunity to gather all you Design and Verification experience, collaborate with a highly skilled team and create a ground-breaking new interface from scratch and seeing it launched in our new Silicon line up!
Key Qualifications
Deep knowledge of RTL design
Deep knowledge of Verilog and System Verilog
Deep understanding of implementing modern design techniques.
Knowledge within High-Speed Serial Links
Experience in bring-up Serdes
Hands on experience with energy-efficient/low-power logic design.
Good to have vendor collaboration experience
Good Knowledge of front-end tools (Verilog simulators, linters, clock domain crossing checkers)
Good knowledge of synthesis, static timing analysis, DFT
Good knowledge of System-Verilog assertions, checkers and other design verification techniques are a plus
Good knowledge of scripting languages. Perl and Python are plus
Good communication and presentation skills.
Good knowledge of Algorithm development
Experience of developing custom firmware is preferred
Experience with transistor level implementation of digital circuits is a plus.
Education & Experience
High Speed Serial link experience
Master of Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or similar with 5+ years of experience.
