At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.

Role overview
The Junior Battery Charging Engineer is responsible to ensure the seamless interaction between the aircraft and the ground support equipment (DC charger).
You will report to the Head of Electrical Power Systems and your daily work will be led by the Section Lead of Energy Storage Systems.
You will work on the development of the onboard charging system and support on specifying the offboard charger. On the day-to-day activities you will be working with different stakeholders such as high voltage systems, electronic control units and batteries. You will take part of the complete product development cycle and therefore a hands-on person is a must for early prototyping but also being able to follow up aviation standards during later stages of the project.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1-2 years of experience working on batteries, with focus on embedded systems.
- Broad knowledge on power electronics, converters, inverters, both HW and SW.
- Graduate degree in aerospace, mechatronic, electrical, mechanical, automotive, or equivalent.
- Capable to perform modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
- Experience in product development cycle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Eagerness to work with others.
- Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission.
