Junior Club staff/Fritidsledare

Arbetsbeskrivning

Internationella Engelska Skolan is located at Tellusborsvägen in Hägersten. The school, founded in 2014, creates an opportunity to work in an international and stimulating environment where commitment to education, a professional approach to the teacher role, and an interest and love for the English language are common denominators!

The academic expectations for the students in the school will be high, as well as the expectations on the teaching staff to deliver education of the highest possible quality. We will all work together, comfortably and sensibly, to create a calm and orderly environment where teachers can teach and students can learn. Teaching is done in English or Swedish depending on the subject and the teacher´s language skills, but proficient skills in English are a requirement for all positions, as English is used for all staff communication. We follow the Swedish curriculum. Personal qualifications as well as an interest and belief in the school´s educational philosophy are determining factors for recruitment. We expect our staff to be self-sufficient, positive and to have high work ethics. It is also important that you are reliable and that you work well with others.

We are now looking for someone to work part time in Junior Club. Junior Club is the school's alternative to Fritidshem for our students in year 4-5. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, positive and that have an interest in working with children. In order to be hired, one must show a police clearance report. We are looking for both native english and swedish speakers.

You are welcome to send in your application (CV and personal letter) via email to info.liljeholmen@engelska.se. Please put "Junior Club" in the subject field.

Internationella Engelska Skolan is a leading independent school group (friskola), reaching academic results far above average. It was founded in 1993 by Ms. Barbara Bergstrom, a science teacher originally from the US. In 2009, she received the award "Entrepreneur of the year in Sweden". More than 13,000 students are enrolled in our 19 schools around the country, mainly grades 4-9. IES is the largest free school organization in "Grundskolan", with six of the ten major free schools in Sweden. The company has a turnover of more than one billion SEK (2012-13) and around 1,500 members of staff. It is in a phase of rapid expansion, also abroad.
