What You Will Be Doing: As a Junior Data Scientist, you will be at the heart of pioneering AI, Machine Learning, and Advanced Analytics solutions. Your analytical and creative prowess will be crucial in tackling business challenges through data mining, forecasting, and optimization. You will play an integral role in automating processes, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and amplifying customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:
Participating in various stages of analytics projects, from data exploration and structuring to problem-solving and recommendations.
Assisting in developing methodologies for forecasting and predictions across diverse data sets.
Collaborating on projects with global counterparts across Europe, North America, India & Brazil, adding value to our analytics endeavors.
Building relationships with user groups and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with our analytics vision.



Who You Are:


You are a budding Data Scientist with a passion for Analytics and a collaborative spirit. Your enthusiasm for solving complex challenges and sharing insights is palpable. You are ready to contribute to accelerating data-driven design, validation, and problem-solving at Volvo.


Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent.
1+ year of experience with technical tools like SQL, Python, R, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with basic machine learning algorithms and data science principles.
Eagerness to learn, adapt, and perfect your work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.



Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to data science projects is a plus.
Knowledge or willingness to learn tools like Azure Analytics Cloud, Jupiter Notebook, Power BI, and Apache Spark.
