We are looking for a person who is relatively new in the IT area, but with some experience. To succeed in this role, you have a positive and encouraging attitude. Coming straight out of school might be an advantage in this role, having an open mind and getting the opportunity to learn and become an expert in our Field Service management solution over time.
About the job
You will work with our IFS Field Service Management solution including integrations to other applications and ensure that Alfa Laval has a sustainable and reliable solution for the future.
You will work in a future agile team acting on user feedback, implementing improvements prioritized in a product backlog. You will work tightly together with other team members, the product owner, and the scrum master.
The implementation of the solution is currently run as a waterfall project and will after first pilot transform into agile way of working. You will be an important player in this transformation and support the implementation of an agile DevOps culture within the agile team you are working with.
Your primary tasks will be (extract, not complete list):
* Define, build, test, and deploy improvements on our Field service management solution.
* Work in small batches, assess the results, and adjust accordingly.
What you know
To succeed in this role, you have an interest in Computer Science, particularly in programming. It is fundamental that you are interested in understanding the challenges related to field service management and how to overcome them by bringing in new ideas, having an open mindset.
You are skilled within XML, SQL, SQL-lite and JavaScript and have a good understanding of how databases work, such as the differences between updates before and after commit, transactional process, synchronous vs asynchronous etc. to avoid building any configuration that could cause potential deadlocks and performance issues. It is also beneficial if you have experience in mobile apps development, both Android and iOS.
