Moleculent is now hiring a Junior Development Engineer with focus on Mechanics and Optics. You will work with technical support and improvement of experimental setups containing fluidics and optics.

About the position
As Development Engineer within Mechanics and Optics You will be a part of the R&D team that today consists of ~20 people. You will contribute to the development of a world-class product. You will be working to support in development & maintenance of relevant optics/fluidics equipment and systems
Your main responsibility areas will include:
Hands-on building of new instrument setups as part of the product development
Testing and evaluation of new designs and concepts
Support and improvement of experimental setups containing fluidics and optics, for instance by optimization of Python scripts.
Technical support, maintenance and troubleshooting concerning microscope setups
Your profile
To fit the role, you have a BSc or MSc in Engineering physics, Molecular Biotechnology, Mechatronics or similar. Candidates with relevant PhDs and a hands-on attitude are also interesting candidates.
You have very good hands-on technical skills, enjoy working with complex instrumentation and have knowledge in Python programming and scripting. Fluent written and spoken English and excellent computer skills is a requirement.
Further valuable skills:
• Instrument development hands-on experience
• System engineering and verification experience
• Experience working with fluidics and/or optics
• Experience of lab work
• CAD design
