Tetra Pak Development & Technology seeks to achieve value-driven innovation by defining new concepts, scouting for partnerships, and applying new technology developments. Within Sealing Solutions & Materials Engineering, the team Sealing Applications & Modelling is now looking for a junior Development Engineer that will secure focus and drive on the integration of Sealing and Materials Solutions in development projects. As Development Engineer, you will work together with different competences necessary to develop and deploy robust packaging and equipment solutions, representing the Sealing organization and capabilities.
The position is based in Lund and may require some travelling.
What you will do
Use your understanding of Sealing science and engineering and your technical leadership abilities to solve technical challenges, leading and executing the engineering tasks.
You will work on development of new or improved products/systems, breaking down sealing requirements, V&V elaboration and execution in physical rigs or filling equipment, looking to achieve the Sealing Quality and robust integration in the selected environment, using a variety of engineering methods to meet specifications.

In this work, knowledge of the Sealing technologies, Sealing and Packaging Material interaction and the understanding of the critical interfaces in the filling machine are important capabilities. Focus on Sealing Quality and sealing solutions integration for our customers is the relevant part of this job.
You will have the technical responsibility for the coordination and execution of specific projects activities, bringing forward technical insights and your approach to solve problems. Collaboration and networking with several organizations and functions is key in this role.
We believe you have
Background in Mechanical- or Materials Engineering, or equivalent, and a high willingness to collaborate, continue to learn and develop in a technical context.
Relevant experience from other industries is a plus.
You have a solid statistical knowledge and manage tools like eg Minitab and enjoy working both theoretical and practical in lab environment and in machine halls.
You grow to work autonomously and act as a point of contact to colleagues.
You proactively contribute to improvements and provide input on development.

Since your work will involve multi-countries collaborations, it is important that you have good team-playing skills, very good presentation skills, are result oriented and have very good written and spoken English. You also have personal drive and are independent in the exploration of the given task, taking initiatives and proposing solutions and actions. You will be engaged in working and leading activities in different contexts, such as technology developments, product developments and on issue resolution activities potentially directly at customer site.
