ABOUT THE POSITION:

Friday are now looking for a Junior Embedded Developer to join our client’s emerging journey in the automotive industry. Our client is now building a new platform. The brain in this platform will be a Core Computer with the capacity to carry a vast majority of electric control units and applications in the car. This new centralized signal system aims to enable optimized software architecture and continuous deployment for further development, as well as over the air data updates and real-time decision-making for autonomous drive.

You will be joining a team of six ambitious colleagues, that work closely across different departments. They are dedicated to building empowered teams and an agile environment where you learn every day, challenge each other and give continuous feedback. The team which you will belong to is cross functional and responsible for functionality to optimize energy and power usage in the car. You will have different job duties in areas such as system design, system safety, software development and verification. You will work in technologies and languages such as C/C++ and Python in a Linux environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

To succeed in the role, we believe that you:

Have an BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant area.
Have experience with C++ and Python.
Are fluent in English in both speech and writing and can communicate effectively with all types of stakeholders.


It is not mandatory, but considered a plus if you:

Are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.
Have been working in a Linux environment.
Have professional experience or hobby project with C/C++ and/or Python.


Furthermore, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. As a person, we believe that you are analytical and a problem-solver and aware of that there are multiple solutions for a problem. We believe you are a true software engineer who is motivated by challenging tasks in a complex and innovative environment and you have the interest to creating SW architecture and technical road maps. Furthermore, you appreciate working in a team as well as working independently.

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT:  

This is a consulting assignment which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both our client and Friday is that the assignment will result in a permanent position at our client.
