About the role:
Are you a soon-to-be graduate or have a few years of experience and looking for an exciting opportunity in embedded software development? Our development team in Stockholm is searching for a Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join our embedded systems team. In this role, you'll work closely with the team, getting involved in the full development lifecycle from concept to mass production.
At TSS, we design and develop embedded devices and cloud software in-house. As a Junior Embedded Software Engineer, you'll gain exposure to all parts of the chain with a focus on embedded software development. You'll work alongside the IoT cloud teams and hardware team, using preferred tools and code in GitHub for review by peers.
This position offers a unique opportunity to get involved with all parts of development and producing products at scale.
What you will do:
- Work with the Product Owner to understand the requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Design and develop embedded software both for new products and added features to existing products.
- Participate in code reviews as part of pull requests in Git.
- Write test scripts and use autonomous testbeds.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the integration of the embedded software with the hardware and cloud systems.
Who you are:
- You have some experience in embedded software development, and you're eager to learn more.
- You have programming skills in C/C++.
- You're familiar with software debugging tools and techniques, as well as hardware debugging tools.
- It's a plus if you have experience with Python, wireless technologies like BLE or cellular networks, or a real time embedded operating system e.g., Zephyr OS, Free RTOS, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
