About the role
We're seeking a junior energy engineer interested in carbon capture methods and energy calculations. This role requires you to work primarily with large municipal companies as our main customers, and you will work closely with experienced colleagues to deliver innovative and efficient solutions regularly.
Energy engineer within Carbon Capture technology is responsible, for example, for
• Design and optimize carbon capture systems by performing power and heat calculations.
• Analyze data and model engineering systems using Microsoft Excel.
• Produce documents, draft reports, and perform preliminary studies on energy engineering and carbon capture.
• Engineering drawings can be created and modified using CAD software.
• Knowledge of different types of power plants and their principles.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in carbon capture technology.
Requirements:
• An engineering master's degree focusing on energy or related fields.
• Expertise in CCS concepts, power and heat calculations, and energy engineering principles.
• Experienced with Microsoft Excel.
• Collaboration skills as well as the ability to work independently.
• A strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing. (both Swedish and English)
It would be advantageous if you had knowledge and/or experience with AutoCAD. Experience with flue gas cleaning, district heating and cooling, energy efficiency and project management is also a merit.
Other essential skills and qualifications that will be highly valued in this role include the following:
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to change in project scope and deadlines.
• Technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• A passionate learner, a change agent, and a skilled developer.
