The role

Our Propulsion and Engines business covers the strategic, operational and engineering activities for propulsion and engine products. Today our product range is one of the broadest in the world and our accountability as a team include all aspects of the product range including market requirements, product strategies, development, product costs and profitability throughout the life cycle.

We are now looking for a recently graduated Engineer to join our team!

You will be part of our Product Management Propeller department. The department develop and deliver market leading world class propulsion solutions from a product portfolio that consists of propellers, shaft lines and reduction gears for all types of vessels, ranging from fishing vessels to complex naval vessels. Our propellers vary in sizes from 1,5 – 10 m in diameter and we have delivered our high-performance propellers for over 80 years, starting with the well-renowned KAMEWA-propeller.

As a Development Engineer in our team you will act as a specialist when it comes to complex mechanical issues.

Responsibilities will include:

All stages of the product development of our complex propulsion systems, from first drawings to the final test run.
Working cross functionally with colleagues from other departments in our global organization, as well as collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Conceptual studies and investigations.


The role is positioned in Kristinehamn and some travels will be included in the job.

Our Candidate

We are looking for an engineer who is motivated and focused on learning and deepen the knowledge in technical issues. Furthermore, you show responsibility and find motivation in getting results and appreciate independence in your role.

You have a M.Sc within Mechanics, Material, Engineering Physics or similar. Good knowledge of the English language (verbally and written). It is advantageous if you have experience in product development of complex mechanical systems. You have the interest to learn and specialize your knowledge within complex technical issues.
