Are you eager to jump-start your career in the automotive industry and help shape the future of safer, more enjoyable driving? At Sentient, you’ll have the chance to work hands-on with exciting projects in vehicle safety and motion control, contributing directly to the development of autonomous transportation.
Since 2009, Sentient has developed steering and safety products. As a company with 35 employees, we stand out by delivering high-quality, effective solutions to our customers. In this role, you’ll be involved throughout the entire solution lifecycle—from the start of a new project to testing in real vehicles. With test tracks close to our office in Gothenburg, you’ll see the impact of your work firsthand as we test our solutions in customer cars and trucks.
Not only will you work with fascinating technical challenges, but you’ll also be part of an enthusiastic team where knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement are in focus. You’ll collaborate with experienced and open-minded colleagues who are always ready to help you learn and grow.
What will you do?
As a Function Developer, you will have a hands-on role in designing and developing solutions that meet our customers' needs. Working with Matlab/Simulink, you will be involved in developing and testing solutions at multiple levels, including both simulations and in-vehicle testing. Your foundational technical knowledge and curiosity will help you learn quickly, deepen your expertise, and develop a broad perspective - enabling you to understand the bigger picture and meaningfully contribute to the team's success.
Who are you?
We’re looking for someone who is early in their career, with a strong drive to develop technical skills and a passion for the automotive field. You have an educational background in automotive engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, and ideally, some experience with Matlab and Simulink from studies, internships, or previous roles.
You’re a curious problem-solver who enjoys tackling new challenges and finding creative solutions. As a collaborative and adaptable team player, you value learning from others and contributing to shared goals. Your positive attitude and willingness to take initiative make you a strong addition to our team. A basic understanding of embedded systems and a keen interest in automotive technology will help you thrive and grow in this role.
