Junior Group Financial Controller

The Verisure Innovation Centre in Malmö is Sweden’s award-winning innovation center for the connected & protected smart-home market. We create services and products for smarter, safer and more secure homes, serving customers across Europe and Latin America. 

We are seeking a talented, innovative, and passionate Junior Group Financial Controller to join our team in Malmö. This role will be part of our Group Financial Control team (3 people today) and the Group Finance department. We are looking for you who recently graduated and have a curiosity for accounting that you would like to explore further. This is a newly created role and you will have the opportunity to impact your own development depending on what you feel passionate about.

As our Junior Group Financial Controller your main tasks are to be involved in preparations of quarterly and annual reports according to IFRS, handle accounting questions from the entire Group (16 countries across Europe and Latin America), support the monthly reporting process, participate in continuous improvement projects, be involved in calculations related to IFRS adjustments, be in contact with the Group’s auditors and so much more. It is a varied role where we would like you to find your true passion.

Our Group Finance department consists of around 40 people who are spread out in Malmö, Linköping, Geneva and Madrid. The team in Malmö consist of 16 talented and knowledgeable people with a great team feeling. Our office is located a 5 minutes’ walk from the central station in Malmö. We moved into brand new premises one year ago.

Who are you?

You have probably recently finished your studies and are eager to start your career. We are looking for you who have a great interest in accounting and who are excited to have the opportunity to impact your own role to a great extent. You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration, ideally with a specialization within Accounting. You have the ability to pick up concepts quickly, dive deep into issues and effectively collaborate within a dynamic and fast-paced distributed environment. You are fluent in English and Swedish, and it is a plus if you also speak and write in other European languages.

You consider yourself a team player who is humble, outgoing and hands-on. You enjoy managing different stakeholders and are not afraid to pick up the phone when needed.
