Thule Sweden AB is based in Hillerstorp, Sweden, and develops, manufactures and distributes roof racks, ski carriers and bike carriers.

We are expanding our Design Department within BA Outdoor & Bags Rest of World by adding both a Junior Industrial Designer and a Junior Surface Designer to the team.

As a Junior Industrial Designer you will work within our predefined product identity in product development projects. You will play an active role in all stages of product development - from idea to implementation. This includes functional and visual design sketching from early stages in each development project, with ideation based on consumer insight and technical requirements, throughout the process with more detailed validation of the designs and concepts through early level prototyping.

We believe that the ideal candidate for this position is an ?ideator?, for us this means that you have excellent creative problem solving skills and the ability to inspire the ones around you. In addition you have a structured approach and feel comfortable working towards deadlines. This role requires advanced sketching and visualizing skills as well as documented experience from prototyping. Training and experience in 3D CAD packages with a focus on surfacing (SolidWorks and/or Catia V5, Alias or Rhino) as well as mastery of common design tools, such as Illustrator and Photoshop is also a requirement. You are fluent in Swedish and English and have an appropriate academic degree combined with a couple of years? experience from a similar role. Naturally you live an active lifestyle and hold an interest in our products.
