To secure and support the IKEA Group Legal Strategy and the overall IKEA Group Direction ? Growing IKEA Together 2020, we are now hiring Junior Legal Counsels that will be given the possibility to develop and grow within IKEA Group Legal.
As Junior Legal Counsel, you are responsible to review, maintain and sustain the legal aspects of the businesses and operations of the IKEA Group. As Junior Legal Counsel you have a continuing responsibility to support the IKEA Group, in order to secure the rights and assess the obligations to reduce exposure to legal risks and to implement corporate governance for the companies belonging to the IKEA Group.
As Junior Legal Counsel, you are reporting to a Legal Counsel, IKEA Group Legal.

ASSIGNMENT:
As Junior Legal Counsel you will long term have the following assignments:
? Support the Group Legal Strategy and thereto connected goals.
? Provide day to day support on legal matters to IKEA Group businesses and operations.
? Ensure and maintain a good cooperation with and between core areas, group functions and other function/ areas within the IKEA Group.
? Monitor and secure the legal aspects of the IKEA Group, and give day to day assistance on legal matters to IKEA businesses and operations.
? Provide advice to relevant stakeholders on opportunities to optimize their legal position in order to reduce exposure to risks and optimize opportunities.
? Provide education to relevant stakeholders in the area of laws and regulations, internal corporate structures, decision making and managerial responsibility.
? Keep updated in relevant international and local legal developments, including changes in international, domestic and case laws and regulations.
? Participate as member in relevant projects or other working groups.
Is this your next challenge?
To be successful in this role you need to have:
? University Law degree in Law with very good achievements
? 1-3 years of professional experience as an in-house legal counsel or similar or lawyer in an international legal or business environment
? Sound understanding of business processes
? Fluent in English (written and spoken)
? Competent handling of MS Office applications
