The Medtech team at Sigma Connectivity is growing and expanding our engineering team with a junior Mechanical Engineer!

Sigma Connectivity is a global design house developing products for leading international brands in a number of industries including consumer electronics, medtech, traditional industry, telecom, automotive, logistics and more.

Within the business unit focusing on MedTech we are now searching for our next colleagues with expertise within Mechanical Engineering. Could that be you?

Are you a Junior Mechanical Engineer with passion for innovation and problem solving and have knowledge about complex mechanical assemblies, design for plastic injection molding? Do you want to be involved in all stages of the product development life cycle, from concept through prototyping, testing and all the way to the launch for the market? Do you want to work with some of the world’s most renowned tech brands as well as local giants and crazy inspiring start-ups?

We work in a project driven organization and technologies and assignment vary with each project and customer. You will work cross-functional with colleagues from ID and UX, radio design, electronics, software and all the others that are needed to deliver a full product. B.Sc or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
You are either newly graduated or have a couple of years of experience in mechanical engineering product development.
Willingness to learn from new experiences and challenges, take on new responsibilities, and adapt.
Self-organizing and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and make use of your time effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A team player with good people skills.
You should feel comfortable with customer contact.


Some nice to haves (advantageous skills) are:

Surface design experience or knowledge
Experience from 3D modeling in Inventor, Siemens NX or Creo
Experience from structural or heat simulations
Verification and validation experience
Experience / knowledge of medical device design control processes
Experience from design for plastic injection molding of small and complex parts
BOM management, product cost estimation and product cost-down process experience.
Design for manufacturing DFM, DFA and Quality process experience.


International working environment
