Junior Merchandiser
THE OPPORTUNITY
You will join our Buying & Merchandising team to help us grow our online presence. Your analytical and out-of-the-box thinking will help us achieve optimal stock performance and continued sales growth. You will be accountable for sales forecasting, stock management, and strategic decisions. You will be working closely with the buying team to secure the optimal buy for the season and together you will be responsible for reaching the set targets season after season.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Analyze and forecast performance, stock, and sell-through in order to maximize commercial opportunities and identify risks
- Optimize turnover and profit through carefully conducted analysis on assigned area
- Take immediate action on missed opportunities in the season as well as clear non-performing styles
- Calculate and forecast optimal buying budgets for the season
- Support the buying efforts and handle buying analysis for your assigned category to ensure that the right selection of products is available on site
- Actively take part in planning and implementing the strategy for Buying & Merchandising, both short- and long-term
- Build strong working relationships with internal departments as well as external partners
- Collaborate with our Product and Logistics team to secure on time deliveries
YOUR PROFILE
To be successful in this role it is important that you are highly analytical, structured, and detail-oriented. Your approach to problem-solving is proactive and innovative with a constant need to make improvements. With good time management skills, you are able to multitask and work in a fast-paced working environment. You enjoy collaboration and clear communication.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics or similar is preferred
- Numbers-cruncher with a passion for analysis
- Strong Excel skills using VLOOKUP/SUMIFS functions and pivot tables
- Previous experience working with BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- E-commerce or retail experience is a merit
- Fluent in English since this is our corporate language (only applications in English will be considered)
