Job Description
We are now looking for a Junior Print Designer who loves the Kids Girls assortment! Do you enjoy working on prints for a variety of different teams and products on a daily basis? Then this might be the opportunity for you!
Working with prints for the Kids Division include working together with our team developing print collections sold worldwide in all H&M markets for the Kids Girls customers, 2-8 years of age. The product groups include apparel, accessories, swimwear and more. We work in a positive and energetic, creative, playful print team environment and we look for you with a great eye for upcoming kids girls print trends to join us! We create products with sustainability at the forefront, and for all shopping channels and H&M markets worldwide.
The role involves, but is not limited to, print sketching and creation, assist with print sampling, revising and updating prints, update collection overviews with the prints and color charts. You will work with many different print expressions including license prints. Therefor a good knowledge of and a keen interest to do license is a must, as it is a license heavy role. You work closely with the responsible senior print designer to develop prints for our girls collections sold in all our global markets. This is a permanent role working on site in the H&M head office, Stockholm, Sweden.
We look for a print textile/graphic designer with experience from, and who share our true love and passion for the Kids Girls customer and products. Teamwork, high speed and ability to prioritize is very important. You must be able to work independently and are used to fast decision making. We strongly value a genuine interest and understanding of the H&M Kids Girls print handwriting and aesthetics, which is of highest importance for the commercial success. Qualifications
A BA/MA degree in Textile Print/Graphic Design
1-2yrs work experience as a textile print design assistant
Very strong drawing and illustration skills
High level and fast skills in Adobe Suite programs, CLO 3D work experience is meriting
Good knowledge of different print techniques/ textile designing
Work experience of license design is desirable
Have solid work experience creating repeat as well as placement prints, typography and graphic text prints is also desirable
Preferably work experience from license prints as it is a big part of the collection
A true passion for fashion print design, its current and future trends
Understanding of our H&M Kids Girls customer and commercial fashion
Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
A flexible team player who thrives working in a fast and everchanging environment
A strong self drive and can take own initiatives
English fluency (Swedish not necessary)
