Job Description
As Junior Print/Graphic Designer at H&M you are responsible for assisting the Senior Print Designer. You will also be working together with a strong team which include a Pattern Maker, Designer, Planner, Product Manager and Product Developer. As a valuable member of the team you will be involved in developing print collections sold globally in all the H&M markets and omni channels. You will be creating aspirational commercial fashion prints, including repeat and placement. You will contribute with identifying updated latest fashion print trends for our target customer with your fresh ideas, energy, creativity and fully global perspective. Being a quick learner with good communication skills, a flexible attitude and capacity to adapt to changes, is essential. You have a genuine passion for the latest print trends both from a commercial and an aspirational standpoint. This requires high energy, strong independent drive, creativity and a new perspective. It is a one-year temporary position with an amazing opportunity to develop from your current individual print design level, whilst learning from our global print team!
Qualifications
Minimum BA qualification in Fashion Textile/Print or Graphic Design
A minimum of 1-2 year’s industry experience as a Junior Fashion Print Designer
Experience of creating all over repeat, placement prints, checks, stripes, florals, conversationals etc.
Typography/graphic text print competence is a merit
Knowledge of different print techniques, general print technicalities and processes
Excellent illustration and drawing skills
Genuine and high level fashion forward sense for global fashion trends and its print trends
Strong eye for colors and garment-print connection
Solid and fast skills in Adobe Creative Suite programs
3D CLO work experience is meriting
Strong communication skills and flexible approach
Likes a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment with parallel tasks in an organized, structured manner
Fluent in English (Swedish is not necessary)
