Job Description


Are you our new stars? We are looking for Kids Junior product as well as Kids print/graphic Designers who love and are passionate about our Kids assortment! Our roles and working with us
Working for the Kids Division include working together with our teams developing collections sold worldwide in all H&M markets for the Kids Girls and Boys customers, 2-14 years of age. The product groups are wide, including all that the kids need, from top to toe, for play, party and relaxing times! The materials are jersey, knit, woven, denim and more. We work in a positive and energetic, creative and playful work environment. We hope that you who have a great eye for upcoming kids garment and print trends and never lost your playful spirit, will come join us! Sustainability is of course at the forefront, and you design for all shopping channels and H&M markets worldwide. We offer a great chance to develop if you love working with different teams and a variety of products in an international environment on a daily basis.
The Junior Product Designer role
As a Junior Designer you will be responsible for assisting our Product Designer working together with our wider team. The role involves, but is not limited to, flat sketching, assist with fittings, producing and updating collection overviews and color charts. You will be involved in developing collections sold worldwide in all H&M markets and all channels.
The Junior Print/Graphic Designer role
The role involves, but is not limited to, print sketching and creation, assist with print sampling, revising and updating prints, update collection overviews with the prints and color charts. You will work with many different print expressions and can also include license prints. You work closely with the responsible Print Designer to develop prints for our collections sold in all our global markets.


Qualifications


About you (for both roles):
Teamwork, high speed and ability to prioritize is very important. You must be able to work independently and are used to fast decision making. We strongly value a genuine interest and understanding of the H&M Kids handwriting and aesthetics, which is of highest importance for the commercial success.
For both roles we look for:
• A degree in Fashion Design (garment role) or Textile Print/Graphic Design (print role)
• 1-3yrs work experience as a design/ print design assistant or equivalent
• Strong drawing and illustration skills
• High level and fast skills in Adobe Suite programs
• A curious mindset with high trend sensitivity always looking for the next fashion
• Understanding of our H&M Kids customer and commercial fashion
• Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
• A flexible team player who thrives working in diverse settings
• Like a fast-paced and everchanging work environment
• A strong self drive and can take own initiatives
• CLO 3D work experience is highly meriting
• English fluency (Swedish not necessary)
For the Print/Graphic role we also look for:
• Good knowledge of different print techniques
• Solid work experience creating repeat/all over as well as placement prints
• Typography and graphic text prints knowledge is desirable
• Experience from license print work is meriting
• A true passion for kids fashion print design, its current and future print/graphic trends
