Junior Product Industrial Designer – Stockholm, Sweden

A rare opportunity to join a team of multinational designers spanning the exciting topics of fabric care design and industrial production, we are now looking for a junior industrial designer to join us in the Fabric Care team, Major Appliances Europe. If you're passionate about creating intuitive, user-centered design for a more sustainable way of life, this could be the place for you.
As a Junior Product Industrial Designer (ID Designer), you will be part of a key function within the Design Organization, in one of the larger and categories dedicated to researching and defining the product design requirements of our products that are needed for our consumers to perceive the experience of interacting with a best in class, matching the expectations created by the design intentions and by the brand's DNA.
A typical day at work:
• As a member of the Fabric Care team, you will work on the creation and design of our products and accessories across all of the company's brand portfolios.
• By working within a broader design team, you will develop the product design with concept and solution to communicate functionality, characteristics and brand. What is the best way to communicate, inspire or highlight a new feature in a product to our users?
• Responsible for applying appropriate visual and functional skills to articulate brand and value propositions in product design concepts.
• Participate as a support role to current design teams in various Fabric Care projects within Design Major Appliances Europe and in collaboration with our Global Design Team in other regions.

What you will learn:
• As part of a multidisciplinary design team within one of Sweden's largest and most established design departments, you will have an unparalleled opportunity to see the "bolts behind the products that surround us every day.
• How we go from idea to concept, to full-scale industrial production, and then on to the brand, sales, market launch and ongoing customer care.
• You will learn about cooking techniques, sustainable living and being truly obsessed with consumer experiences.
• You will learn about production, printing technology and usability. In short, you will learn what it's like to be a professional designer in the corporate world.
Education and experience:
The service requires:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial design or related discipline.
• A portfolio of industrial design work
• Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities while working effectively in a team environment
• Great problem-solving skills
• Excellent 3D software, rendering software, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
• Fluent in English, both in speech and writing

It is preferable:
• Being able to demonstrate through previous examples were mentioned characteristics of organizational skills and attention to detail maintained over repeated iterations can be shown.
• Relevant design graduate who can work with different design programs such as your second language.
What you get out of the program:
• Learning experience within 14 months
• Gross salary of SEK 25,500 per month for the first 12 months. The 13th and 14th would be $28,500 gross salary per month.
