Getinge Group is in an exciting and intensive period of change and we are now recruiting a Junior Project Designer to our Architectural Planning team. This team is a key contributor to Getinge Infection Control´s commercial success. The high-quality detailed drawings and designs produced by this team, are in many sales situations considered one of the most important and valuable tools to distinguish our solutions from that of the competitors. The team of five in Getinge is working together with a global team of 50 colleagues sitting locally in our sales organizations. This job offers you an interesting challenge in a true international setting where you will interact with many different functions. The position
The main purpose of the role is to support the Sales & Service Companies and our distributors with analysis and investigations of equipment needs as well as architectural design drawings for customers within infection control applications. You will also work with global and regional BIM (building information management) project coordination. Close collaboration with the sister-team in Germany is requested and needed regarding Revit/BIM. The goal is to increase sales, improve quality and to faster response towards project requests coming from SSU’s & distributors.
Among your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
• Develop functional layouts in Revit (and sometimes AutoCAD) in 3D
• Support and develop BIM/Revit for design teams globally and coordinate projects regionally
• Disseminate BIM knowledge to colleagues through training and everyday support
• Make demand calculations
• Have daily interactions with customers, architects and planners regarding layout suggestion
• Assist in making technical installation drawings when requested
• Participate in customer meetings, exhibitions, congresses and gives speeches on relevant topics as well as develop suitable presentations to these meetings
• Keep updated on the product portfolio, development standards and best practice
• During vacation period & high-peak seasons, be backup for the rest of the team
The position is located at our production site in Getinge, Halmstad. The Junior Project Designer will report directly to the Manager Architectural Planning & Workflow Design. Travel is estimated to 20-25 days per year, but varies depending on year.
The ideal candidate
As ideal for the position you have minimum 5 years of experience from a technical role in a business to business environment together with a willingness to travel and to work in a global and dynamic organization. Some of your key characteristics include:
• Previous background from construction, engineering or architectural company
• Education in Building Engineering/ Industrial design/ Interior Design or Architect
• Excellent knowledge of Revit/BIM, AutoCAD and Office-package is required
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects and deliver on tight deadlines
• Hospital planning background is an advantage
• Good verbal and written skills in English and Swedish, German would be a plus
As a person you are a hands-on and result-driven team player who takes responsibility. You have a great ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment. Having the right attitude and a good way of handling stress is crucial. Since it’s a customer oriented role, it is important that you have good business acumen and a great ability to understand customer needs. Good presentation skills and an ability to inspire others are other key success-factors in the role.
