Most of the employees work with R&D but also functions such as HSE, PSRA, Purchasing and Marketing are represented on site.
We are now searching for a new Junior PSRA-Specialist to our business AkzoNobel Wood Coatings. Do you have a passion for paint and chemistry and thrive for customer service? Then you might be our new Junior PSRA-Specialist in Årsta!
What you will do?
As Junior PSRA-Specialist you are part of the Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs department, a team of eight. The team ensures that the Wood Coatings products and raw materials comply with current regulations and AkzoNobel requirements. The department is also responsible for supporting Akzo Nobel´s customers with relevant information in legislation and safe handling of their products. The role includes national and international contacts with suppliers, trade associations and authorities as well as production sites, RD&I, Marketing and other PSRA departments within the company. Your main responsibilities are:
• Maintain working knowledge of relevant regulations, i.e. all EU chemical regulations, ensure transfer and retention of knowledge.
• Produce regulatory compliance statements for customers.
• Make Poison Center Notifications for the products placed on the EU market.
• Communicate effectively both internally with other departments and externally with our customers, regulators, suppliers, trade associations.
• Be able to translate regulatory requirements to practical implications for the business.
• Contribute to cross functional project teams as required.
You will report to PSRA Manager Wood Coatings and will be located at our site in Årsta. This is a permanent position.
Who you are?
This is a service for you who want to work administratively and have interest in regulatory issues. We believe you have a University degree in chemistry and maybe you are recently graduated. You have good knowledge of chemistry as well as the ability to read, analyze and interpret chemical and legal text and technical documentation. You have knowledge of chemical legislation such as BPR, REACH and CLP, is desirable, as well as knowledge of chemistry or polymer chemistry. You have good data and MS Office skills. It is required that you are fluent both in English and Swedish, oral and written.
As a person you have a strong solid interpersonal and influencing ability with a sense of empathy towards your team members, stakeholders and customers. You are service minded, a good communicator and a team player with an open mindset and optimism. You show great ability of discipline and self-confidence in your daily work. You thrive in a coordinating role and in a high pace environment.
