As a Junior QA (Quality Assurance) professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications and systems. Working under the guidance of senior QA team members, you will assist in testing and identifying any defects or issues in software products. Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will contribute to improving the overall user experience and product quality.
Role & Responsibilities:
Test Execution: Execute test plans and test cases to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues in software applications.
Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify and document software defects, bugs, or issues using appropriate tracking tools. Clearly communicate issues to the development team for resolution.
Test Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts, to ensure effective and comprehensive testing coverage.
Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that issues have been resolved and new features or updates do not introduce any new problems.
Test Automation Support: Support the development and maintenance of test automation scripts, tools, and frameworks under the guidance of senior QA team members.
Collaborative Work: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements, report issues, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, and apply them to enhance the testing process.
Process Improvement: Suggest process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of QA practices and methodologies.
Job Requirements:
Higher vocational education (or equivalent work experience).
Solid understanding of software development life cycle and software testing concepts.
Familiarity with various testing techniques, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Basic knowledge of testing tools and frameworks, such as test management software, defect tracking systems, and test automation tools.
Proficiency in using bug tracking tools, such as JIRA or Github, to report and track issues.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to identify, isolate, and document defects effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate issues clearly and collaborate effectively with team members.
Detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy and an ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards acquiring new skills and knowledge.
Knowledge of programming languages and test automation frameworks (such as Selenium or Cypress) is a plus, but not mandatory for a Junior QA role.
