Job Description
We are now looking for one Junior and one Senior Print Designer who love the Kids Outerwear assortment! Do you enjoy working on prints for a variety of different teams and products on a daily basis? Then this might be the opportunity for you!
Our roles and working with us
Working with prints for the Kids Division include working together with our team developing print collections sold worldwide in all H&M markets for the Kids Girls and Boys customers, 2-14 years of age. The product groups include Jackets, Head wear, Gloves, Scarves, Function wear and more. We work in a positive and energetic, creative, playful work environment and we look for you with a great eye for upcoming kids print trends to join us! We create products with sustainability at the forefront, and for all shopping channels and H&M markets worldwide.
We look for print textile/graphic designers with experience from, and who share our true love and passion for the Kids customer and products. Teamwork, high speed and ability to prioritize is very important. You must be able to work independently and are used to fast decision making. We strongly value a genuine interest and understanding of the H&M Kids print handwriting and aesthetics, which is of highest importance for the commercial success. We offer a great chance to develop for you who love working with different teams and a variety of printed products in an international environment on a daily basis.
Junior Print Designer
The role involves, but is not limited to, print sketching and creation, assist with print sampling, revising and updating prints, update collection overviews with the prints and color charts. You will work with many different print expressions including license prints. You work closely with the responsible senior print designer to develop prints for our collections sold in all our global markets. This is a 1yr temporary role.
Senior Print Designer
You will be responsible for setting the visual directions for prints together with the Concept Designer as well as secure it on the print product level. You lead and secure the print collection is produced in line with the set goals. You delegate, coach and lead the work with the junior print designer and all areas concerning print for your team. As a Print Designer you will work with prints for a wide range of product types for the kids customer. This is a permanent role.
Qualifications
For both roles we look for:
A degree in Textile Print/Graphic Design
1-2yrs (JR role) and 2-4yrs (SR role) work experience as a textile print design assistant(JR)/print designer(SR)
Strong drawing and illustration skills
High level and fast skills in Adobe Suite programs
Have good knowledge of different print techniques/ textile designing
Have solid work experience creating repeat as well as placement prints, typography and graphic text prints is also desirable
Preferably experience from license prints as it is a big part of the collection
A true passion for fashion print design, its current and future trends
Understanding of our H&M Kids customer and commercial fashion
Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
A flexible team player who thrives working in diverse settings
Like a fast-paced and everchanging work environment
A strong self drive and can take own initiatives
CLO 3D work experience is meriting
English fluency (Swedish not necessary)
For the Senior role we also look for:
Documented leadership experience
Strong in working methods, driving the overall print vision
Used to work cross functionally with many departments simultaneously
Direct experience from print supplier/production
