Ericsson’s Baseband Infrastructure (BBI) organization provides key products and services to all Ericsson Radio Access Baseband (BB) applications 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. Our products include operating system libraries (kernel, boot loader, communication and observability services), a tools' suite (code editor, debugger, compiler, build system, test framework and trace functions), an integrated development environment (IDE), and a programming model tailored to the Ericsson Many Core Architecture (EMCA) hardware. BBI’s offerings are collectively referred to as the EMCA Software Development Kit (SDK).
We are currently on a mission to develop and deploy a new state of the art build and test system, based on the Bazel open source project from Google. We optimize it for a build environment of more than 10 000 cpu cores, with caching and remote execution. We are looking for a Junior Software Developer who will join our build development team.

As a Junior Developer within our team You will
Systemize, Design, Test, Deploy, Maintain, Support and Refactor code within the area of the EMCA SDK and Bazel Build & Test System in particular.
Collaborate virtually with colleagues, specialists and users in many countries.
Contribute code you write to open source projects at GitHub.
To be successful in the role you must have
Good knowledge in Java.
Strong interest in graph theories, complex algorithms, and Bazel build and test tool.
Curiosity and self-driving with ability to plan your own work to reach common goals together with your team.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
MSc level in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent subject area, or the equivalent level of knowledge.
You are at an advantage if you have one or more of the following qualifications.
Experience in Python, Bash and C/C++.
Experience of build systems, such as Bazel and GNU Make.
Experience in Linux
Experience from Open Source projects.
Experience of using Git for version control.
Experience of EMCA related development at Ericsson.
