As a part of our growth journey, we are looking for our next Junior Software Developer for verification and validation of software used in clinical trials, to join our Uppsala office.

As a Junior Software Developer, you will join a growing team of software developers and specialists in image processing and image analysis. You will further support concurrent cross-functional project teams in clinical trials with software development solutions.

Your main responsibility will be to support with planning and performing verification and validation of internally developed software and external software used to analyse medical images acquired in clinical trials. Your work role includes responsibility for specifications, testing, and documentation of validation processes.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Validation of software for analysis of medical imaging data, including design of specifications, testing, and documentation.
- Maintenance and internal support for developed software.


Additional responsibilities could include:

- Development of software tools for medical image management, processing, and analysis.

Who are we looking for?

We believe that you are either newly graduated or possibly have some professional experience of software verification and validation of image processing systems. You can work both independently and in teams with support of software development.

As a person, you have a logic mindset and analytic ability to solve and conclude issues of different character, where you enjoy working with focus and structure. We further believe that you have demonstrated collaborative and communicative skills to engage with colleagues and clients. You have the flexibility and ability to meet deadlines while being thorough and delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

- B. Sc. Degree, or planned graduation, in Natural Science
- Proficiency in Python


It is meritorious if you have previous work experience of GCP/GAMP, as well as software verification and validation, where it is of specific advantage if you have experience from software development within a regulated industry, such as medical device development or clinical trials, including experience from medical images of MR and PET.

In addition, we perceive it as an advantage if you have studied computer science, engineering physics, applied systems science, and/or software development.
