Positions main purpose:
In the role of junior structural engineer, you act as a support to and Senior Structural Engineer and technical management. You participate in the various project tasks and assignments of the project and support through technical management. Follow-up of design development and site coordination as well as economic studies and scheduling works will be part of your assignments with the relevant tools used in project. As a junior structural engineer, you shall have the technical skills needed for given tasks and you will therefore have to propose decisions on actions and use of resources.
Throughout the project duration, you will work closely with the technical management and together with other employees in the projects for safe design and production with high productivity, quality and profitability. You will have to ensure close collaboration and communication with your own project team, external designers and internal support functions. In addition, you will also communicate with external third parties, subcontractors, etc. as needed.
Work tasks:
Assisting senior structural engineer of the technical department and construction department leaders
Follow up of ongoing design activities and action site related issues in cooperation with Construction and Planning departments
Evaluation of quality assurance related to design
Planning of meetings (internal or with Client) and preparation of Minutes of internally Meetings, externally and to Client
Preparation of presentations related to specific design/site related tasks
Issuance and follow-up of additional design tasks/works ordered to designers/subcontractors including administrative preparation and follow-up
Providing input, feedback to cost control department for financial studies
Reviewing structural design (reports+drawings) from project Designers and assisting construction department for the execution requirements
Being involved in structural issues arise throughout the project lifecycle for providing alternative solutions and ensuring link between designers and construction teams

Requirements (previous work experience, education, etc.):
Civil or Master's degree programs with a focus on infrastructure or equivalent work experience
Has basic understanding of theories, practices and procedures in structural engineering
