The Project Support and Administration Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Junior Support Technician to the Information Technology Division. IT Operations & Support provides client support, platform infrastructure and IT compliance.
Description of main responsibilities
You will mainly work with:
• Troubleshooting and solving PC issues - Mainly Windows 7
• Patching network equipment
• Fixing equipment, like peripherals
• Printer Maintenance
• Maintain inventories and supplies
• Setting up new equipment and performing upgrades
• Account creation and administration
Qualifications
To be successful and perform well in this position we believe you have:
• Relevant education or degree
• Working knowledge of PC (and Mac) Operating systems
• Ability to troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Solid understanding of networks, storage, server systems
• Knowledge in the procedures for installation, modification, maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software
