Lynk&Co Design is part of Geely Design Global, a multi-cultural organization with seven well-equipped studios in Shanghai, Gothenburg, Barcelona, Kuala Lumpur, Coventry, Hethel and Los Angeles, with total staff of approximately 900. These design studios, with top class design teams and the latest tools in design development, are responsible for the creation of a unique design language for each of Geely's brands; Geely, Lynk & Co, ZEEKR, Proton, Lotus and London Taxi.

We are looking for a curious and ambitious junior UX Designer to join our HMI design team and define the digital experience of Lynk&Co and ZEEKR cars.

In this role, you will work in as member of a cross-disciplinary team responsible for designing market-leading digital experiences for the Human-Machine Interfaces in LYNK&CO and ZEEKR cars. Considering the whole scope of HMI Design and development you are to challenge old conventions when it comes to overall user experience, digital experiences, and interaction design for the automotive industry.

You will work within the HMI Design department on concepts and strategies communicated through storyboards, animations, virtual experiences, and SW & HW prototypes. As part of the HMI design team you will advocate for the user, and create appetizing early concepts with cohesive user experience. All with high quality throughout the entire user journey.

The team consists of Experience Designers, Interaction Designers, Graphic Designers, Motion Designers, Light Designers and Digital Prototype developers. You will also work in close collaboration with the Interior team, Exterior team, and Seats & Component Design team. The studio is highly international, with 20+ countries represented, so an interest in and respect for cultural differences is required. Working language is English.

Responsibilities and tasks:

- Create world class digital experiences and interaction design based on the customers’ expectation and Lynk&Co and ZEEKR brand values
- Conceptualize your ideas in deliverable material with attention to detail and structure
- Validate concepts through user testing
- Make sure concepts are aligned with all technical constrains and regulations
- Assist in developing the Lynk&Co Design System
- Help making the HMI Design department’s Digital Experience vision as visual as possible
- Help merge the HMI Design process with Interior, Exterior and Component Design processes


Suitable background and experience:

We are looking for a curious designer with 1-2 years experience in the field of UX design, preferably with previous experience from working in multi-disciplinary teams. You have an educational background with an MFA/BFA in UX Design or equivalent education. You are an ambitious UX designer, a solid visual designer, and understand research methodologies.

You are passionate about designing digital user experiences, contributing to a high performing product, and you have started on a portfolio to prove it. You have the persistency to pursue targets and take decisions. As individual, you are highly motivated, flexible, and able to work under constrained time schedules. In a team, you have the ability to drive, motivate and convince. You are structured, methodical, and analytical.

Good visualization, presentation, and storyboard skills are a preferred, as well as skills in Figma, Sketch and Adobe CS. Skills in 3D modelling for graphics or motion design are a plus.

- Fluency in English, spoken and written.
- Travels to Asia may be needed (approx. 1-2 per year).
